Muir's Annual Events
In 2010 we will be encouraging people from our communities to take part in the following events
- March 21st to 28th - ‘Spring into Action with Muir’
The idea – to think about something that needs changing where you live and act on it!
The intention – to bring about positive changes and support residents to take action.
- Friday 28th May - European Neighbours Day
The idea - for people to think about other countries and cultures.
Initially it started in Europe but now includes countries from all over the world.
The intention - to create neighbourliness and understanding of different cultures and people

- Sunday 19th July – ‘Big Lunch’
The idea - for as many people as possible to have lunch together.
The intention - for people to come together and be more neighbourly and supportive of each other

- 30th October - ‘Making a Difference Day’
The idea – to do something nice for your area or for someone else
The intention - to promote volunteering and bringing communities together, Council for Voluntary Service

- November (date to be confirmed) - ‘Not in my Neighbourhood Week’
The idea – to hold an event that promotes awareness of local services and campaigns
The intention - a home office campaign to reduce crime and disorder
