Friends of Muir Group Community Investment
Friends of Muir Group is a registered charity formed by Muir Group Housing Association
in 2002. Its main purpose is to reflect Muir Group's commitment to investing into
our communities.
Friends of Muir Group supports projects or initiatives that benefit the communities
in which Muir Group operates, and
has already made a positive difference to schemes,
communities and neighbourhoods across our regions.
Friends of Muir Group meet four times a year to make decisions on shaping the future
of the charity and to approve grant awards.
What is Friends of Muir Group all about
Friends of Muir Group:
Is governed by a board of trustees, who are responsible for monitoring fundraising
activities and approving grant applications
Plays an essential role in terms of the wider factors linked with community investment
Encourages positive changes towards making our communities sustainable
Awards grants to initiatives that contribute to developing sustainability
Channels funding and resources into projects that directly improve the immediate
environment and quality of life for Muir Group residents.
Friends of Muir Group ensures that it commits to projects which address core problems
affecting our residents and the areas
where they
live by developing funding criteria
that address issues within today’s society.
