· Any resident group or community group operating in an area where Muir Group residents live.
· Any organisation or partnership that benefits an area where Muir Group operates.

Making an application

Before making an application it is important that you first read our Application Guidance Notes. They will explain our criteria.

How does the process work

Friends of Muir Group meet every 3 months. Here are the dates for the future meetings.

· 9th June 2009
· 8th September 2009
· 8th December 2009
· 9th March 2010
· 8th June 2010
· 7th September 2010
· 7th December 2010

Applications must be submitted in plenty of time and no later than 3 weeks before the meeting dates.

The Board will consider each application very carefully and make a decision based on how it will benefit Muir Group residents or their communities.

Once a decision has been made, you will be notified within 4 weeks of the meeting date.

If you have been successful, we will expect certain things from you in return such as:
· an acknowledgement of the funding received
· a simple review of the outcome and benefits of the project
· a progress report if the project is continuing over a period of time

If you have been unsuccessful, we will write to you and explain why.
This does not mean you can’t apply again.
You may want to modify your project or idea to fit more closely with our criteria.
