Trees are becoming too big and touching some properties, growing through telephone lines and blocking street lights
|
We have carried out a second survey and a plan is being drawn up. The hedge at Field Walk is being dealt with as I write this, and the trees identified as needing urgent attention will be dealt with once all the leaves have dropped. We will continue surveying annually and will deal with the trees as the budget allows.

Non-occupation and sub-letting of properties

We have identified more properties which had been sub-let. After commencing action 1 property has been given back and we are currently investigating and taking action against a number of others.
Continue to work with residents, police and the Council fraud team to ensure that where we identify subletting or abandonment, the homes are brought back into legal use and action is taken against perpetrators

Speeding vehicles, inconsiderate parking and lack of gritting make the roads treacherous
|
We have met with the Resident’s Group, BPHA, the school and various councillors from Parish, District and County councils to discuss what can be done alleviate the situation. The next meeting will be held in January as information from several sources has to be obtained.
The Parish council have obtained a second salt bin and BPHA have given permission to site it at the entrance to the estate so that the Highways dept. will be able to keep it topped up. Training for volunteers to distribute the salt around the estate will be given.
