Muir pays tribute to former board member after recent death

MUIR Group Housing Association has paid tribute to a long serving board member following his death earlier this month.

Brian Bailey stood on the board for 34 years before he retired in September 2013.

During that time he held the role of Deputy Chairman for a number of years and was dedicated to helping improve the lives of the housing association’s residents.

He was closely involved in all areas of Muir’s business but took particular interest in the development of new homes and financial matters.

A statement released by Muir Group Housing Association said: “All at Muir were saddened to learn of the loss of the former board member Brian Bailey.

“He made a very valuable contribution to Muir over a great many years and was very much missed when he retired.

“We would like to express our thanks for the assistance he gave us and our sympathy to all of Brian’s family.”

Mr Bailey, 78, also served as Lord Mayor for the City of Chester during his career in local government.
