Non-payment consequences

SOMETIMES it can be difficult to pay all of your bills, but the consequences of not doing so can be worrying.

Living with the threat of eviction, without gas or electricity, or facing prison, can become very real possibilities if certain bills are not paid.

The below video, and the table beneath it, explain some of the potential consequences of choosing to spend money on something other than your bills.

Wayne Pearson, a Muir Group Housing Association Money Advisor, who appears in the video, can help people to manage their money to ensure they make the most from it and cover their bills to ensure they don’t have to face the situations that could otherwise become a concern.

“Muir’s Money Advisors can provide assistance to people who are struggling to manage their money, understand what payments need to be made, help them get the best deals available so they have more cash in their pocket and take the pressure off,” Wayne said.

“At Muir we offer a free advice service which can help make a big difference, and we have worked with lots of residents to sustain their tenancies and resolve their worries.

“Call us in confidence on 0300 123 1222 and we will be happy to help.”
