Housing association is ‘outstanding’ employer

Housing association is ‘outstanding’ employer A CHESTER housing association has been named an ‘outstanding’ employer in a prestigious national survey for the second year running.

Muir Group Housing Association, whose headquarters is in the city centre, has retained its two star status in the prestigious Best Companies survey.

The association first achieved two star ‘outstanding’ status in the survey last year – up from one star the year before.

John Bellis, Chief Executive of Muir Group Housing Association, said: “We are absolutely delighted to retain our status as an outstanding company to work for and what makes it even more special is knowing it is based on the opinions of our employees.

“We are committed to helping our staff fulfil their potential in any way we can and strive to provide them with opportunities for both professional and personal growth.

“Having such happy, committed employees is key to ensuring we provide the highest level of service possible to our customers and we will continue to make sure our staff know just how appreciated and important they are.”

The Best Companies survey, which is confidential and voluntary, aims to recognise organisations that excel in every area of their business and show particular commitment to their workforce.

It surveys staff at more than 1,000 organisations across the UK to find the leading employers in the country.

Employees are asked to give their views on a variety of aspects of their job including leadership, management, well-being and personal growth.

Best Companies then uses this data to generate a star rating for that organisation. One star is first class, two stars is outstanding and three stars is extraordinary.

John Bellis added: “Our employees always give 100 per cent in everything they do and I would like to thank them all for their hard work and dedication.”
