Board Meeting Summary Notes - 28th September 2017
The following is a summary of key points discussed at the Board Meeting held on 28th September 2017
- Election of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman: the Board confirmed the election of David Gardiner as Chairman and Susan Kearns as Deputy Chairman.
- Self-Assessment – compliance statement – Regulatory Code: the Association’s self-assessment for 2017 against the HCA Regulatory Framework was presented to the Board for review and comment. The Board agreed that the self-assessment confirmed compliance with the code.
3.Outcomes from consultation – revised Employee Terms & Conditions: A report had been circulated summarising the feedback received from staff following consultation around the proposed revised employee terms and conditions.
As result of the consultation exercise there were few areas where amendments were recommended to the original proposals and these were highlighted and debated before the Board approved the proposals as presented.
- Building New Homes: the Board approved the Building New Homes Strategy 2018-2021 and the associated documents
- Customer Service Offer – Task & Finish Group Recommendations: the Board received a report proposing a way forward in terms of reviewing the Association’s service offer to customers, the associated standards and strategy and how customers access services. The Board approved the proposals.
- Resident Engagement & Governance – Task & Finish Group Recommendations: the Board received a paper recommending a proposed new model of resident governance and a proposed new menu of opportunities for resident engagement. The Board approved the proposals and agreed a budget to support implementation.
- Treasury Management Report – the Board received a quarterly summary of the Association’s treasury position.
- Management Accounts - the Board reviewed the Management Accounts to June 2017
- Performance Report – the performance report for June 2017 was presented.
