APPRENTICES START NEW CAREERS WITH DISTINCTION AS THEY BEGIN PERMANENT ROLES WITH MUIR

TWO Muir apprentices are celebrating the start of new roles at the Association after securing permanent jobs.

Megan Moss and Selina Salinger both recently received Distinction grades for their Chartered Institute of Housing Level Two qualifications in Property Management and have now secured permanent roles with Muir.

Megan will become the Association’s new Property Services Assistant and Selina was successful in her application to become Muir’s new Customer Experience Advisor.

The pair have previously been supporting Muir’s Housing Services and Customer Experience teams as part of their apprenticeships.

Muir staff “I’ve enjoyed my time at Muir since the beginning, so to get a permanent job here is brilliant,” Megan (pictured right) said.

“It gives me stability but I’m also really happy to carry on working here.

“I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve been doing, and the apprenticeship has led to this job, so I’m pleased to be taking this next step in my career.”

Selina (below) was also thrilled to know she’ll be spending more time helping Muir residents after completing her apprenticeship.

Muir staff “I’m really happy with my grade, and with the support I received from Muir,” she said.

“I enjoyed making my final presentation to Muir’s leadership team and now I’m really pleased to get a full-time role too.

“I feel dedicated at Muir and I’m getting good experience and developing – things have worked out perfectly.”

Existing Muir staff have also been strengthening their skills to help the Association provide the best possible levels of support for residents.

Muir staffCommunity Housing Manager, Rebecca McKiernan, and Community Housing Assistant, Becky Guise, both recently completed CIH Level Three qualifications.

“It’s fantastic to see our apprentices securing new positions at Muir,” Emma Robinson, Muir’s Housing Services Manager (right) said.

“They’ve made brilliant progress and we’re delighted to see them join the Association permanently after making the most of their opportunities.

“We’re also very proud to see our staff furthering their knowledge to help residents and develop their careers here at Muir.”
