BENCH UNVEILED FOR COUNCILLOR WHO LOVED HER MUIR COMMUNITY
RESIDENTS have celebrated the life of a neighbour who supported them and their community.
A bench in the name of former Parish Councillor, Celia Brown, and her dog Jack, will sit outside residents homes at Ellwood Green, Crewe.
Celia had been a Muir resident at Ellwood Green for 15 years and will now be remembered by the neighbours she helped in a community where she also raised money for various local events.
“Celia kept a close eye on her neighbours and shared our values as a Muir resident,” Lynne Rowell, Muir Tenancy Services Officer said.
“Celia made all her neighbours in Ellwood Green aware they should apply for Pension Credit, she even helped them with their applications.
“She would often to pop in on people to check on them and say hello.
“She was, for a long time, the eyes and ears of Ellwood Green, trusted and respected by neighbours and her housing team at Muir.”
