Blackpool signals the start of an endless summer of fun to illuminate the holidays

MUIR residents can take part in an endless Summer of fun when Blackpool throws itself open to a host of holiday activities.

Blackpool Council has published its full Summer Family Guide (below), charting all the events taking place throughout the school holidays, for children and adults – both from Blackpool and further afield.

Some of the excitement includes whale and dolphin watching, learning circus skills, drama workshops, Taekwondo lessons, sports days, free swimming and historical walks.

There will also be storytelling sessions, Futsal, walking football and baby weigh-in clinics as well as sports days, mobile farms, and Yoga along with much, much more.

BlackpoolBarbara Stephenson, a Muir Tenancy Services Officer working in the Blackpool area is encouraging residents and families there to make the most of the seemingly endless summer of activities available and said: “There is so much going on in Blackpool this summer - Lots to do with the kids and for adults as well.

“It’s fantastic that children can swim free for the entire holidays at Palatine Sports Centre and Moor Park Leisure Centre.

“I also look forward to seeing residents at the mobile farm on 19th August at Grange Park Children’s Centre.

“Also Wayne Pearson, a Muir Money Advisor, is going to be at the Children’s Centre during the drop in surgery on 28th July at 9am-10.30am, offering residents help and advice on debt and money management.

“Please feel free to drop in and see him as he’s really good.

“I urge all Muir residents to make the most of this fun-filled summer and ensure it is one to remember.”
