CONTENTED NEW RESIDENTS SAY MUIR LIVING ‘HAS IT ALL’

A CONTENTED couple say they’re making their daughters jealous after moving into their ‘ideal’ Muir Living home.

Tony and Margaret Lloyd are the latest residents to move to the newly revamped Tweedsmuir ‘Muir Living’ location in Chester.

And after settling in during the last six weeks, the couple took time out from some fun in the sun to explain why their new Muir Living home is the perfect place for them.

Muir residents “It’s got everything,” said Margaret, 79.

“My daughters are quite jealous now they’ve seen where we’ve moved to.”

Margaret’s move has given her a new lease of life after explaining she’d not left the couple’s previous flat for almost a year due to difficulty navigating the stairs.

“The fact there’s a lift here is really important and has made such a big difference to me,” she said.

Big Lunch “The flat is very nice too – I’m really happy.”

The couple have spent time getting to know their new neighbours as COVID-19 restrictions ease enough to enjoy some outdoor events at Tweedsmuir and other Muir Living locations – which provide independent living facilities for over 60s.

Taking time out from a socially-distanced outdoor lunch with some fellow Tweedsmuir residents, Tony, 81, said: “I feel very lucky to have come here.

“It’s got good storage space and the kitchen and bathroom are both very nice – it’s ideal.”
