DRUMMER FINDS HER NEW BEAT WITH LIFE AT MUIR LIVING

A DRUMMER says she’s found her new beat as she enjoys ‘greater independence’ at a Muir Living location.

Tracey Bryant, a musician who played countless gigs across the country as part of a punk band, including at the legendary grassroots live music venue of The Fiddlers Elbow in London’s Camden Town, said she’s as happy as she’s been in years since moving to her new home.

The 57-year-old is loving life at the Shalom Lodge ‘Muir Living’ location in Lytham St Annes, allowing her to enjoy much more accessibility with her wheelchair before she prepares to pick up her drumsticks once more.

Muir resident “I love it here,” Tracey said. “Coming here is the best thing I’ve done in years.

“I’ve made friends easily who I can go out with and I’ve got greater levels of independence and accessibility.

“I’m happier here than I have been in years and feel as though all my problems have gone.”

Originally from the local area, Tracey says she’d struggled to find the right place for her since spending time in a wheelchair but feels “extremely lucky” to live at Shalom Lodge, despite admitting she’s not set up her drum kit quite yet.

“I spent a lot of time goring up in the area as a child so it’s nice to be where I am,” she said.

“I felt extremely lucky to come here.

“It’s great for me and I feel at home so hopefully I’ll be back on my drums again soon.”
