ESTATE SET TO BLOOM AS MUIR STAFF PLANT BULBS TO HELP GROW SPRINGTIME SMILES

A MUIR estate will bloom when spring surfaces after staff got busy planting bulbs ahead of the winter months.

Muir staff teamed up with grounds maintenance provider, Tivoli, to plant hundreds of bulbs around green spaces on the Glebe Green estate in Winsford, as part of a springtime mental health challenge.

They’re hoping the bulbs bring a colourful start to warmer weather in 2024, helping to bring brightness to residents living there when the cold comes to an end.

“Planting the bulbs now will mean there’ll be plenty of colour at Glebe Green in just a few months from now,” Paul Taylor, Muir Tenancy Services Officer said.

Muir staff“A splash of colour helps create a feel-good factor and it’ll be nice for residents to enjoy tulips, crocuses and daffodils when they look out from their windows.

“We had fun planting the bulbs with Tivoli, and some of the children and residents on the estate too.

“We hope our efforts will bring much more enjoyment for people living here when the bulbs begin to bloom.”

Several members of Muir’s Cheshire East and Warrington housing team rolled up their sleeves with Tivoli and arm themselves with trowels on the day.

Emma Seddon, the team’s Community Housing Manager said: “It’s always great to help give communities a lift and hopefully the flowers will raise a few smiles when they appear.
