FAMILY SAY 'THE ONLY WAY IS UP' AFTER RECEIVING MUIR MONEY ADVICE
A FAMILY of new Muir residents says help from the Association's money advisors has helped to give them a fresh start in life.
Daniel Walley believes the support and advice Muir provided for his family enabled them to them find the stability they needed, allowing them get their lives firmly back on track as they moved into into a new home.
“Now the only way is up,” said Daniel, 36, who moved into his new home with wife, Victoria, in March 2018.
"We had money worries and our previous landlord sent us a letter giving us two-months notice, so things really came to a head."
The couple wanted to remain near Chester with their five-year-old son, Charlie, close to family and friends.
Despite limited options they were successful with an application for their new Muir home - after the Association’s money advisors stepped in to help them overcome their financial concerns.
“We realised we might be a risk, but we got referred to Muir’s money advice team and the help we received was amazing,” Daniel said.
“They didn’t judge us, they wanted to help, and we felt at ease from the moment they walked in.
“Getting the keys was a such a great weight off our shoulders,” he added.
The couple are now happy in their new home and feel they can begin to put their money worries behind them.
“We feel we can really move forward,” Victoria said.
“We have ongoing support from Muir and can plan for the future.
“We can make our home our own, we have no worries about debt.
“Moving here with Muir is like a completely fresh start.”
