GARDENING BECOMES CHILD’S PLAY AS CHILDREN TAKE PRIDE IN PLACE AT MUIR EVENT

GARDENING became child’s play for residents in Chester as children bloomed for a Muir community event.

Muir staff and members of the Tivoli grounds maintenance team met with residents at Charlotte Court to rejuvenate its green spaces.

The engagement event was encouraged youngsters to take pride in their community by clearing out some tired looking planters and replacing them with new shrubs and flowers in the autumn sun.

“It was wonderful to see the children taking pride in their Charlotte Court community,” Jo Worthington, Muir Community Housing Manager said.

Muir staff “We really enjoyed seeing their faces light up as they got involved in the gardening with members of the Muir and Tivoli teams, and helped to rejuvenate the green spaces on the estate.

“It was really nice to talk with residents on the estate too and listen to any concerns.

“We’re loving being back out and about on our schemes now that the COVID-19 restrictions have lifted.

“It’s great to be among our residents again.”
