MUIR GARDENERS DIG DEEP TO GIVE SCHEME A FLOWERY FACELIFT

GIFTED gardeners from a Muir housing team brightened up a scheme for over 55s by giving it a flowery facelift.

GardeningMembers of Muir’s Cheshire West and Chester Housing Team visited Ashton Court in Frodsham to make a shrubbery ship-shape and plant new flowers for the residents living there.

The team dug in to give the area a flowery facelift and said they enjoyed getting their hands dirty and meeting more of the residents while helping to improve the look and feel of the estate.

“We really enjoyed it,” Muir Tenancy Services Officer, Jenny Toner said.

“It was great to be out in the fresh air and bond more as a team, and with residents too.

“We wanted to help tidy an area of the scheme that had become a little neglected.

“It looks a lot better now and residents were pleased with our efforts. They even leant us some tools to help do the job.

“We were glad to spruce up the area and improve our visibility with the residents there.

“Hopefully they will enjoy the new flowers and shrubs that were planted.”
