MUIR GETTING THERMALS OUT TO MAKE HOMES MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT FOR RESIDENTS

MUIR is getting its thermals out to help make homes more energy efficient for residents!

The Association is teaming up with domestic energy assessors, ‘The WarmFront Team’ to help Muir residents combat rising energy prices and reach the UK Government’s Net-Zero Carbon goal.

WarmFront vans will be seen outside all Muir homes during the next two months as the team use thermal imaging technology to assess energy efficiency of the Association’s entire housing stock.

Further technical surveys may follow at some properties properties as Muir uses the data to help determine its investment plan following the Association’s recent stock condition survey of all its properties.

“Thermal imaging technology will help us identify exactly where heat is escaping from people’s homes,” Natalie Williams, Muir Project Support Officer said.

WarmFront van“Understanding the efficiency of properties and ensuring they are fully insulated means we can consider more renewable technologies such as air source heat pumps, solar panels and improved insulation; which will help drive energy costs down for Muir residents and reduce fuel poverty as part of our Net-Zero Carbon approach.

“Originally planned to take place at a later date, this will now happen during the next two months as we respond to rising energy prices to meet residents’ needs.”

WarmFront assessors will be seen using thermal imaging technology outside all Muir homes soon (as identified in the picture here), so please do not be alarmed if you see them deploying any equipment nearby.

The WarmFront Team will not require entry to your home while conducting these assessments.
