“THE safety of residents is Muir’s top priority and that’s why we conduct gas checks every year,” Compliance Manager, Mike Proudfoot said.
As a landlord, Muir is legally obliged to make sure you and your property are Gas Safe.
This means we check that:
Pipe-work, appliances and flues provided for tenants are maintained in a safe condition.
All appliances and flues provided for tenant use have an annual safety check.
Maintenance and annual safety checks are carried out by an engineer registered with Gas Safe.
All gas equipment is safe or otherwise removed before re-letting new homes.
A Gas Safety Record is provided to the tenant within 28 days of completing the check or to any new tenant before they move in.
“We conducted gas safety checks in all Muir properties in 2017-18, and we continue to show the utmost commitment to ensuring the safety of Muir residents,” Mike (pictured right) said.
“We want our residents to know we fulfil our Gas Safe responsibilities as a landlord by conducting these frequent and thorough tests, so you and your families can feel Gas Safe in your homes.”
