MUIR REMAINS AMONG THE TOP UK LANDLORDS AS RESIDENTS GROUP WELCOMES REGULATOR’S NEW RATINGS
MUIR has retained its place among the highest ranked housing associations in the UK after once again being awarded G1 and V1 ratings.
The Regulator of Social Housing bestowed the ratings for Governance and Viability on Muir for 2021 as the Association fulfils its commitment to residents despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
It shows Muir continues to meet the regulator’s stringent governance requirements while also meeting its viability standards and has the financial capacity to deal with a wide range of adverse scenarios.
The news was welcomed by Muir’s Chief Executive, Catherine Dixson, and the Association’s National Residents Group Chairman.
“This is wonderful news for Muir and for residents,” Catherine (left) said.
“Muir staff work incredibly hard to ensure we remain a landlord residents can trust and for this to again be recognised by the regulator is something we can all be proud of – particularly amid the challenges presented amid COVID-19.”
Muir’s NRG chairman, Chris Bishop (below), was delighted to see Muir’s dedication recognised by the regulator and added:
“The NRG’s work with Muir has shown us the Association truly puts residents at the heart of everything it does.
“We’re very pleased with the way Muir works so closely with the NRG to produce positive outcomes and the regulator’s recognition shows residents how much their trust in Muir is valued.”
