Muir staff 'paint the town red' at charity volunteer day

MUIR staff have been redecorating one of the Association’s chosen charities as they help Save The Family enjoy ‘a new coat’ ahead of winter.

Staff set to work painting gates and fences to help enhance the complex for residents at the Chester charity (www.savethefamily.org.uk), which provides accommodation and support for homeless families, when in the past the family could have been separated.

Muir staff The work done by staff helped give Save the Family a fresh new feel at the ‘village’ style environment, which consists of purpose-built homes on site, a gym workshop, shop/foodbank, clothes swap and more.

“We had a really enjoyable day helping to refresh the Save The Family complex as part of our commitment to Muir’s chosen charities for 2022-23," Home Ownership Officer, Rachael Day said:

Muir staff “Rolling our sleeves up and supporting them to make a difference is a great feeling, and it was also really good to spend time doing something different with colleagues who volunteered their time on the day too.

“We look forward to supporting our chosen charities with various fundraising events and volunteering opportunities throughout the year and it will be great to see people from across Muir getting involved.”
