MUIR’S NEW FIRE SAFETY PARTNERSHIP WILL HELP KEEP YOU SAFE AT HOME

MUIR’s new Fire Safety partnership with Cheshire Fire and Rescue will help keep residents safe at home.

The partnership will provide Muir with consistent regulatory advice to make it easier to comply with fire safety legislation as it continues to fulfil its safety obligations for residents.

The partnership has been approved by the Secretary of State and is formerly recorded on the UK Government's primary authority register.

“This partnership will give residents further assurance that fire safety is always at the core of what we do,” Andrew Gerrard, Senior Fire Safety Officer at Muir said.

“It will make it easier to comply with any changes in fire safety legislation and will also provide more assurance to stakeholders and the Muir Board.

“Cheshire Fire and Rescue will also act as a single point of contact with other fire authorities should any enforcement notices be issued.”

Simon Swainston, Primary Authority Technical Fire Safety Lead Officer at Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “Through the partnership of the Primary Authority, Cheshire Fire and Rescue are looking forward to working closely with Muir Group Housing Association by providing advice to meet their responsibilities as a social housing landlord.

The partnership has been approved by the Secretary of State and is formerly recorded on the UK Government's primary authority register.
