NEIGHBOURS GIVE FRESH FACE TO GREEN SPACE ON MUIR’S MONTROSE ESTATE

TWO Muir neighbours have been busy brightening up their community with the help of housing and grounds maintenance contractors.

Sheila Teasdale and Christine Cunningham recruited the help of Muir grounds maintenance contractor, Tivoli, to help clear a disused patch of land near their homes by removing dead bushes and ivy so it was ready for a fresh face.

The two neighbours, of Montrose Close, Warrington, also received a wooden planter donated by Frank Rogers Building Contractors, to help give the green space a new lease of life.

Muir residents “It’s great to see Muir residents taking pride in their community,” Joanne Davies, Muir Tenancy Services Officer said.

“We were thrilled when Tivoli and Frank Rogers Ltd offered their support, and the work done by Sheila and Christine has been fantastic.

“I was delighted to see the change their efforts had made and how they enjoyed giving that area of land a new look and feel.”

Muir residents Sheila and Christine have been putting the finishing touches to their handywork, helping to give fellow Muir residents a feel-good factor as they walk by.

“It’s kept us busy,” Sheila said, “But it’s good to make a difference and it’s looking nice.”
