ORCHESTRAL QUARTET MAKE MUSIC FOR MUIR LIVING RESIDENTS

MUSICIANS from the Northern Chamber Orchestra have performed for an audience of Muir Living residents.
They picked up their instruments at the Muir Living location to give the residents a musical treat.
And the quartet delighted them with the mini concert after missing a beat from their schedule to tune up for their audience at Tweedsmuir in Chester.
“For residents to receive such a visit from a quartet of the Northern Chamber Orchestra was a great treat,” Lorna Clare, Tweedsmuir’s Independent Living Officer said.
“Our residents absolutely loved the performance and were a fascinated audience throughout.
“With the sun shining in the background behind the musicians, it was a lovely spectacle, and the experience was such a special one for everyone here.”
The quartet made time from their rehearsals to visit Tweedsmuir ahead of the Northern Chamber Orchestra’s performance of ‘Peter and the Wolf’ at Chester’s Storyhouse on June 2nd.
“To get such an intimate concert really did leave our residents full of smiles and made a fabulous impact on their day.” Lorna added.
Tweedsmuir is one of five Muir Living locations for older people – supporting residents to live lifestyles they love, and cherish their next chapters as part of a creative and caring communities for over 60s.
Residents at all Muir Living locations enjoy the use of large communal areas where they can socialise with neighbours and experience events, as well as their own private apartments.
