SANTA GETS NEW SLEIGH FOR CHRISTMAS AS MPS SEND HIM INTO SPACE FOR CHARITY

SANTA is getting a new sleigh for Christmas thanks to MPS and Muir’s Charity of the Year.

SPACE Cheshire has teamed up with Muir Property Solutions (MPS) to create a new sleigh for Santa to share with families of children enjoying the facilities it offers.

The Chester-based charity provides a safe space for children with additional needs to play and learn whilst offering support and a network for their families.

“This has been a very tough year for SPACE as we had to shut our doors due to COVID-19,” Jemma Gregory, SPACE founder and general manager said.

SPACE Cheshire “But we wanted to make our first Christmas at our new premises in Chester really special.

“MPS had helped to create a fantastic indoor play area for children to enjoy and now they’ve created a wonderful sleigh, so we owe them a massive thank you.

Sleigh making“Santa will appear by personalised video link because of social distancing, but families will be able to sit in his sleigh and have their picture taken together.”

MPS operatives created a sleigh fit for Santa and delivered it on for him to deliver his Christmas greetings – albeit via his North Pole video link as he practises social distancing ahead of his big night’s work.

Sleigh making “I’m really chuffed the lads got involved the way they did – We really loved being part of it,” said Ste O’Hagan, the MPS Voids Supervisor who designed Santa’s new ride.

“They had a few early starts and worked through a few lunchbreaks to get it done because they wanted to get it ready for the children who visit SPACE.

“It turned out quite well and hopefully Santa will be pleased with it and doesn’t get any splinters.”

SPACE provides facilitated play sessions, a sensory room and toy library.

Sleigh making The charity also offers advice and emotional support for parents and families such as drop-in sessions, counselling, workshop and training.
