Apply for a place on an exciting new National Resident Group being created by Muir to give its residents greater influence on how the Association operates.
Muir wants you to have greater say over its business and service provision, strengthening the influence of residents on the Association’s ways of working.
Residents said they wanted Muir to listen more – Now we’re all ears.
We want you to help determine Muir’s future, for all of us.
A shadow residents body is working with Muir and tenant engagement experts, ‘Tpas’, to help kick-start a recruitment campaign for volunteers.
Sean Simpson, a Muir resident engaging with the project said: “Residents need to grasp this opportunity with both hands and I welcome anyone who might be interested to accept the challenge and get involved.”
“The national group will enable residents to work in cooperation with Muir to make their housing service even better.”

The closing date for applications is May 31st, 2018.
The aim is to have a resident governance structure that:
- Is relevant to current and future needs of both residents and the Association.
- Strengthens the resident voice, offering a greater influence over business and service provision in relation to issues that directly affect residents using co-design principles.
- Scrutinises, monitors performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Influences and helps to shape a service review programme and undertakes an appropriate role in these reviews
- Develops and maintains a strong, meaningful and influential relationship with the Board.
- Represents the diversity of residents both in terms of geography, type of tenure and demographics.
