WHEN we need to perform a vital gas safety check inside your home, we will let you know.

Muir’s residents are always informed of when their annual gas safety checks are due, giving you a range of dates to choose from so you are not inconvenienced.

The checks take up to 40 minutes and mean your home will have a valid Gas Safe certificate.

If we don’t hear back from you, or can’t gain access our qualified gas safety engineers will still visit your property and leave a sticker, like the ones pictured below, on your door to let you know how important these gas safety checks are.

Muir Compliance Officer, Sharon Thomas said: “We contact residents a number of times to arrange a convenient day and time to perform these checks.

“Not having your gas appliances checked for safety each year could put the lives of you and your family at risk from Carbon Monoxide poisoning or a gas explosion.

“We like to work with our residents to arrange a suitable time to visit them and make sure their home is Gas Safe.”

Each year Muir contractors carry out vital and potentially life-saving gas safety checks at all the Association’s 5,000+ properties.

Without these checks, we may be unable to identify a dangerous gas safety issue – something which may be life-threatening to residents and families.
