WATERWAY WILDLIFE ON SHOW AS MUIR LIVING RESIDENTS TAKE WIRRAL CANAL TOUR

MUIR Living residents set sail on a nature-filled Cheshire canal tour as they explored some “wonderful” Wirral waterways.
Residents from the Tweedsmuir ‘Muir Living’ location in Chester enjoyed the sights of herons, Canadian geese, ducks, coots, swans, cygnets and more while traversing the canal with Wirral Community Narrowboat Trust.
Their vessel took them through the villages of Waverton, Huxley, Tattenhall and Tiverton before they disembarked to enjoy a pub lunch ahead of their return trip.
“The route was alive with fabulous wildlife and nature,” Lorna Clare, Muir’s Independent Living Officer at Tweedsmuir said.
“The day also gave us some beautiful sunshine so we could all enjoy time on the outdoor seated section of the narrowboat.
“The wildlife and scenery on the waterway gave us a bounty of colour and it was a wonderful trip to enjoy with Muir Living residents.”
“It was great to help provide such a lovely adventure and see the great outdoors in such a unique way.”
