‘WE'RE HAPPY HERE ALREADY’ – NEW MUIR RESIDENTS MAKE THEMSELVES AT HOME
IT DIDN’T take long for new Muir residents Robert and Robina Laird to find happiness in their new home.
After collecting the keys from us at the end of July, the couple swiftly moved into their newly-built home in Alsager and are already enjoying life with Muir.
They moved into one of the six new bungalows Muir has delivered on the edge of the town, all of which have been snapped up after being made available for affordable rent.
And Robert and Robina say there’s no looking back as they settled down on their sofa to say how pleased they are to call their house a home.
“We’re happy here already, it’s lovely,” Robina said. “It very quickly became home.
“We’ve been busy emptying boxes and sorting things out since the move and we’ve met all of our neighbours who are very nice.
“The bungalow is cosy and very comfortable and our family have all been to visit.
“They’re glad we’re all settled and the dog has been out and about exploring too.”
After living in the area for 18 years, the couple, originally from Scotland, wanted a fresh start and say they’ve found their perfect pitch in their new bungalow.
“It’s very nice to have a brand-new home,” Robert said.
“This is the last time we’ll move and we’re really enjoying it here.”
Built by Stuart Milne Homes, the development is situated on former farmland and has proven popular, with new residents keen to cross over Muir’s welcome mat for the first time.
