Young mother the latest to benefit from Muir's popular shared ownership scheme
A MOTHER has praised Muir’s popular shared home ownership scheme by saying it gives her a sense of security and a welcome foot on the property ladder.
Charlotte Tomlinson, a 24-year-old mother to her son Brody, has received the keys to a house in Northwich after taking advantage of the shared ownership opportunities created by Muir.
She is delighted to be moving into her new home thanks to the scheme and recommended the “great” experience to others after watching her four-year-old son play in their own garden for the first time.
“It’s a lovely house, really nice, and I am really pleased with everything,” Charlotte said.
“My son loves the garden and the Muir shared ownership scheme has given me a chance to get on the property ladder and provide us with the security of having our own home.
“I couldn’t get a full mortgage so the 50% shared ownership Muir were offering was a really good scheme for us.
“Muir have been great and really helpful so I would definitely recommend moving into a shared ownership home with them.”
The house at Poolefields in Little Leigh is one of many which Muir provide to give customers a ‘share’ of a property and an option to increase ownership over time.
Since introducing shared ownership to the wealth of housing opportunities offered by Muir, the housing association has helped hundreds of people receive the keys to their own home through its shared ownership initiative.
