On Board - A Trip to Huntingdon
The Muir Board recently visited Huntingdon to look at the variety of schemes and properties which are on offer to our residents in Cambridgeshire.
The Board were also given a sneak peak of our new area office, which will be located at Huntingdonshire District Council’s Pathfinder House. Muir has been working closely with the local authority to secure a new, modern office space for our staff in the area. The offices are shaping up nicely, with Muir staff set to move in later this summer. The Board would like to thank Huntingdonshire District Council for its support during the whole relocation process.
One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to McCartney House, our sheltered scheme for adults aged 60 and over. Members of the Board enjoyed chatting with residents, particular Gladys and her friends (pictured). They took time out of completing their whopping 3,000 piece jigsaw to fill us in on the latest goings on at McCartney House!
The Board were particularly impressed with our green-fingered residents at the scheme, who have done a magnificent with their communal garden. Well done everyone!
Update - new board members
Muir is currently in the process of appointing two new members to the board. Keep an eye on our website for further announcements.
