£80,000 WINDOW REFIT GIVING SUPPORTED SCHEME GREAT NEW GLAZING
A HUGE window refit is happening at one of our supported schemes, giving communal areas and apartments great new glazing.
Rowlands Lodge residents will benefit from the £80,000 refit as We’re Muir operatives transform the windows to bring a host of improvements to their homes.
The 71 windows will not only give the Rowlands Lodge supported scheme in Chester a great new look, but it’ll help ensure apartments and communal areas remain efficient throughout the seasons, reduce energy bills and maintenance costs, and give their homes a smart new look.
“The new insulated, double-glazed windows will improve overall thermal performance and help maintain a more consistent overall temperature,” Phil Tinkley, Muir’s Planned Maintenance Team Leader said.
“They’ll also reduce condensation and mould growth associated with cold surfaces and provide enhanced locking systems and stronger frames while reducing noise.
“Having the new windows will cut down on ongoing repair costs and help us reduce our carbon footprint while working towards our Net Zero carbon goals.”
The refit will also increase the overall internal and external appearance of Rowlands Lodge, with apartments and communal areas providing homes and support for residents there for more than 30 years.
“The new windows will help give everyone a fresh feel at Rowlands lodge and help keep residents happy in apartments and communal areas,” Georgina Millington, the scheme’s Project Manager said.
“We’re delighted to enhance a beautiful building which provides such an important community and key support for residents here.”
