Affordable new homes aren't just pie in the sky for Melton Mowbray residents after handover
THE handover of seven new affordable homes has been received by Muir in Melton Mowbray.
The seven homes being delivered at the town's Scalford Road development pave the way for a further seven, also scheduled to be completed before the turn of the year.
Being made available for affordable rent, the beautiful Leicestershire properties, developed by Persimmon Homes, arrive just days after Muir Group Housing Association received handover of yet more new properties in Cheshire
Jo Fallon, Muir’s Development Consultant, says the developments showcase Muir’s commitment to bridging the gap in the UK’s housing market.
“We are really pleased to have taken handover of such beautiful properties in Melton Mowbray,” Jo said.
“The Scalford Road development is situated in a wonderful spot, overlooking wide open green spaces, but remaining close to the amenities offered by the town.
“Melton Mowbray is in a beautiful part of the country and Muir is delighted to be able to offer these homes to future residents.

The further seven properties expected to be completed at Scalford Road before the end of the year are also earmarked for affordable rent.
Earlier this month Muir’s Sam Scott, Executive Director of Operations, revealed the Association will build up to 75% more new homes each year in a bid to help ensure there is adequate affordable housing for people, families and communities.
