‘AMAZING APPRENTICES’ SHORTLISTED WITH MUIR FOR TOP NATIONAL TRAINING AWARDS

‘AMAZING’ Muir apprentices have joined the Association in being shortlisted for acclaimed national training academy awards.

Megan Moss, Selina Salinger and Rebecca Guise have all been shortlisted by training and apprenticeship provider Sysco, who confirmed Muir are among the final contenders for its Employer of the Year Award.

Award winners are set to be decided at a special virtual event on Friday, February 12th.

Muir’s Housing Services Manager, Emma Robinson, was thrilled to see Muir staff and the Association regarded so highly by one of the leading training and apprenticeship providers across the UK.

Muir staff “This is fantastic recognition for Megan (left), Selina (right) and Rebecca (below), as well as Muir Group Housing Association as a whole,” Emma said.

“They have exemplified Muir’s values, as well as their own dedication and high standards.

“To also see Muir shortlisted for the Employer of the Year Award is something we can all be proud of as this is testimony to the level of support received by our apprentices from staff across the Association."

Megan and Selina are both shortlisted for the Sysco Level 2 Housing Apprentice of the Year Award, having both achieved distinctions in their Chartered Institute of Housing Level Two qualifications in Property Management.

Muir staffThe pair also recently secured permanent roles at Muir, with Megan becoming the Association’s new Property Services Assistant, and Selina, Muir’s new Customer Experience Advisor.

Becky Guise, Muir’s Community Housing Assistant, has been shortlisted for Sysco’s Resilience Award, having diligently attended each Manchester training session by travelling from Huntingdon, often staying overnight, before adapting to new training methods due to the pandemic – all while continuing to flourish in her full-time role.
