“AMAZING” HOMES WELCOMING MORE MUIR RESIDENTS TO NEW CROPPER COMMUNITY
“AMAZING” new homes are being finished in Fylde as they welcome residents into another new Muir community.
Muir has so far received 19 of the 31 new homes coming to Cropper Road, all of which have been made available for affordable rent by the Association.
Including a mix of two and three-bedroom houses, as well as new one-bed apartments, Muir’s Annette Westwater says the next 12 properties are almost ready for handover too.
“It’s brilliant to have created a whole new community at Cropper Road and help regenerate the area,” said Development Manager, Annette.
“The homes are amazing and it’s really good to provide much needed new affordable properties for people in the area.
“They will make a really big difference to the people and families moving in, and we’re delighted to be able to deliver them in time for Christmas.
“It’s a lovely scheme and such a good quality build. We’re really proud of it.”
Builders, Holmpatrick Develpments, overcame the challenges of COVID-19 to deliver the new homes which have benefited from Homes England funding and are the latest to be brought to the area by Muir.
They follow a five-home shared ownership development at nearby Wrea Green, as well as a 44-home affordable housing community at Blackpool’s Watson Road – both of which were completed since the beginning of 2019.
Situated just ten minutes from Blackpool’s famous Pleasure Beach, and a mere seven miles from the airport, the new homes will give Muir residents anoth great location from which to enjoy an affordable lifestyle.
Muir Tenancy Services Officer, Emma Ashton said: “It’s great to have begun giving the keys for these new homes to people for who quality, affordable housing will make such a real difference in their lives.”
