BLACKPOOL DRONE FOOTAGE GIVES NEW RESIDENTS LATEST GLIMPSE OF NEW MUIR HOMES
NEW residents will move into homes on Muir’s biggest single development in a decade when they receive keys to their new futures this summer.
Recently released drone footage of the Watson Road site in Blackpool shows properties climbing ever higher as the first of 44 new homes are prepared for completion.
Muir is to provide 27 two-bed and 15 three-bed homes, as well as two bungalows on the former factory site, all for affordable rent.
The entire development will be completed in 2020, however initial homes will soon be ready for new residents and families to enjoy before summer is out.
“We’re really excited to watch this development grow, and even more so about welcoming new residents into these homes,” Alex Fury, Muir’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth said.
“The properties will provide a quality solution to much-needed affordable living for new residents – providing them with the stability and security they need.”

enefiting from a Homes England grant, the properties are being built by MCI Developments.
Muir also recently announced it is to commence development of 32 new affordable homes in nearby Fylde as it continues to build in the region, incorporating 12 one-bed flats and four two-bed flats, with seven two-bedroomed houses and nine 3-bed homes.
Five new two and three-bedroom properties were also made available for shared ownership in Fylde by Muir earlier this year.
