BUILDING ON OUR RURAL HISTORY MEANS MORE MUIR HOMES FOR RESIDENTS IN PLACES THEY LOVE

MUIR has been committed to providing affordable housing in rural areas throughout its 53-year history.

Helping to keep people and families in the places they love inspires us keep building new homes in rural communities.

Escalating rural house prices can force local people out of the market, meaning they are often forced away from areas in search of a home they can afford.

Muir homes  Providing newly built homes for shared ownership and affordable rent give people the option they need to remain without having to bear a heavy financial burden.

“Muir’s Building New Homes programme shows how we are actively building new properties for people in rural areas,” Alex Fury, Muir’s Assistant Director of Assets and Growth said.

Muir homes “We’ve delivered more than 180 newly-built homes in rural areas, both for affordable rent and shared ownership, since 2014 alone – and this is something we will continue to do.

“Muir is currently working on a range of exciting schemes in rural areas which will start to handover during this year.

“It’s an honour to work closely with our rural communities to provide the homes that they need.”
