Cheshire children can enjoy the big wide word at the WayWord half-term festival

CHILDREN in Cheshire can benefit from a host of wordy activities during half-term thanks to this year’s action-packed WayWord Festival.

Filled with reading, writing, drama, drumming, dance, maths, game coding, Yoga and cartoon-led events, activities run throughout February’s half-term week, from Monday 20th to Friday 24th.

Authors, illustrators, comedians, dancers, gamers, storytellers and methmaticians will all be on hand to help deliver the huge variety of sessions available.

The events are being staged at Chester Town Hall, while libraries in Chester, Lache, Neston, Frodsham, Blacon, Winsford, Northwich and Ellesmere Port will all host free arts and crafts sessions during the week.

Many activities are free and all specify themselves as being suitable for particular age ranges.
