CHILDREN MAKE AN ACTION-PACKED START TO THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS WITH MUIR
CHILDREN have waged a friendly war with Muir after the Association helped to host a day of Nerfs.
The children at Glebe Green in Winsford got their summer holidays off to an action-packed start when they embarked on a variety of challenges using foam ammunition fired from Nerf guns.
More than 35 children from the community took part in the free event staged at the nearby Darnhall Primary School, which was also arranged in partnership with the Glebe, Greenfield and Over (GGO) community group.
They enjoyed target practice, who could fire furthest, and a few friendly battles with each other during the day, as well as some craft activities to keep the 6-11-year-olds entertained.

“It was great to see the children enjoying their start to the summer holidays,” said Muir Tenancy Services Officer, Robert Burrows.
“We were pleased to work in partnership with GGO and Darnhall School to provide the event and everyone had fantastic fun throughout the day.”
Properties at Glebe Green are managed by Muir Group Housing Association, and tenancy officers are often involved in helping to provide activities for children living on the estate.
An ‘Animal Magic’ event is set to follow in quick succession, again at Darnhall Primary School, on Tuesday, August 6th.
