Congratulations to Muir's Christmas competition winners
MUIR is delighted to announce the winners of its recent Countdown to Christmas competitions.
The housing association has informed the four lucky ‘Secret Santa’ winners of their success after they watched the four helpful helpful Countdown to Christmas videos uploaded to the www.muir.org.uk website, before submitting their entries during the festive season.
Muir residents Emma Wright (Chester), Chris Lee (Middlewich), Nikki Ozturk (Mickle Trafford) and Karen McFarlane (Warrington), each received a £50 home improvement voucher to help kick start their New Year after coming up trumps in our prize draw.
As well as the competition entries, we also received some great feedback on the information provided in the videos which was great to hear.
Alan Fletcher, Community Housing Manager at Muir (pictured) said: “It was great to see so many people getting involved by accessing the competition and hearing what they had to say.
“We were really pleased our Christmas videos offered information that was helpful to so many residents and, as well as congratulating our winners, I would like to wish all Muir tenants a very Happy New Year.”
The four videos released weekly during December, consisted of information regarding Muir’s Direct Debit payment opportunities, help available regarding arrears, Christmas budgeting tips and an introduction to our shared home ownership schemes.
Speaking after receiving news of his competition success, Chris Lee said: “I felt the videos were really handy and festive too. I couldn’t fault them.
“I’m just hoping my partner doesn’t spend the voucher on anything that will give me too many jobs to do around the house.”
Emma Wright, who’s name also came out of the hat said: “January is the perfect time to win as it can be a long month money-wise so it’s brilliant.
“I pay my rent by Direct Debit already and it is so easy. I thought the video was a really great way to explain how it works.”
Fellow competition winner, Nikki Ozturk said: “I found the videos really good, especially the shared ownership one as it is something I am considering but didn’t really know too much about.
“I was really happy to found out I’d been a winner. I don’t normally win anything.”
After realising she’d also won, Karen McFarlane said: “It is great to have a little extra money after Christmas so I am really thankful to have been a winner.
“The videos were really useful and about the right length so I did find them helpful.”
