Continuing to cut utility bill costs for residents at Muir's second successful event
A SECOND Muir money-saving event has continued to identify cost cuts for residents on their utility bills.
Muir held the latest USwitch event on March 8th at the Association’s Fusilier Court sheltered housing scheme in Bury, where residents could talk with Muir’s Money Advisors to find out how they could be saving cash.
Where Muir’s advisors were identify savings, they did so at a yearly average of £100 per resident, following on from their recent success in Burnley at which they also used price comparison sites to bring their utility costs down.
Muir Income Services Officer, Jo Commons (pictured here with Fusilier Court resident Olive Worthington), was one of the Muir staff helping residents cut costs on the day and said: “These events are proving to be really popular because we are able to make a real difference to people’s pockets.
“We are able to identify plenty of savings that residents did not know were possible and the success of these events should lead to more taking place for Muir residents across the country.
“We are pleased to be able to lighten the load for our tenants and I would encourage others to attend future events because we would love to be able to help them too.”
The no obligation service is being provided by Muir for free and in confidence.
