EASTER FLOWERS FOR CRAFTY MUIR LIVING RESIDENTS

EASTER is flowering for Muir Living residents after they arranged bouquets for the occasion.

Residents at our Muir Living location in Fusilier Court, Bury, have been putting a spring in their step as the seasons change with some flower-based fun.

They enjoyed the flower arranging as part of regular craft sessions which they say are a great way to spend time with friends and grow budding relationships.

Muir Living residents Coming to craft morning is very enjoyable for many reasons, but especially when you live on your own,” Christine Rothwell, a Muir Living resident said.

“It’s good to get together with fellow crafters and it can be very therapeutic. I always look forward to it.”

Fellow resident, Susan Phillips said: “The benefits of the craft club is the social aspect for me.

“I enjoy the conversations and of course, giving it a go even if you don't know what you’re doing.

“The group has grown into a friendship.”

Muir Living residentsYvonne Huntbach said: “I moved into Fuselier court three years ago and as I was new to the area I didn’t really know anyone, so I joined the craft group.

“It’s turned out to be one of the best things I’ve done. I’ve made many friends in the group which has grown in numbers.

“I’ve learnt crocheting and am presently completing a small wall rug, things I would never have done.”

And Val McGrory added: “Every session has been a ‘school day’ and learning different skills been such a benefit.
