GARNER’S MUIR GARDEN IS A FLOWERING LOCKDOWN LABOUR OF LOVE

A GARDEN has planted plenty of smiles on the faces of passers-by after a Muir resident created a kaleidoscope of colour at his home.

St Neots resident, Kevin Garner, has helped to brighten up the area where he lives by labouring in his garden during lockdown.

He says he hopes to give his town council a run for their money by creating a wonderful wonderland outside his home.

“Hopefully it’s brought some brightness to everyone’s life during lockdown,” said 62-year-old Kevin who has been a Muir resident for five years.

“It’s something I’ve loved doing and all the hard work has been worth it now it’s come to fruition.

“Lockdown has given me a lot of opportunity to do it and it's certainly given me something to focus on.

“It’s made a massive difference from what it used to be like – I collected 25 bags of rubbish from it when I first moved in, so I'm keen to keep it looking good," Kevin said.

“I’ve loved every minute of living with Muir. I live in a nice area so I’m pleased to be contributing to that by making my garden look nice.”
