Half million pound refurbishment for Baronia Court properties
RESIDENTS of Baronia Court in Nantwich have seen a number of improvements totalling £500,000 made to their properties.
Opened in 1993, Baronia Place, built by Muir Group in Nantwich, Cheshire, consists of 85 flats which are let to general needs residents. As part of a planned programme of works which Muir Group undertakes every year to maintain and manage all properties, the Asset Management Team has been heading a half million pound investment project to replace 493 windows at Baronia Court, , carry out roofing repair and upgrading the heating systems to make them more energy efficient.
“High specification windows have been chosen to not only improve the insulation of the flats but also provide additional security. The new storage heaters currently being installed are much more efficient than the existing ones which will result in cost savings on energy bills by our residents,” said Gary Taylor, Muir Group Contracts Surveyor.
Mr James, a resident of Baronia Place said: “I am very happy with the work being carried out, even though I have only lived here for 18 months, I think this place is great. I would particularly like to compliment the person who thought of using white frames on the inside of our flats, it really brightens the place up!”
Properties on Baronia Place are a mix of one or two bedroom properties, and many have mobility and wheelchair access.
