‘IT’S AMAZING TO SEE MORE NEW MUIR HOMES TAKING SHAPE’ – LATEST ON LOVELY 20-HOME DEVELOPMENT
PROPERTIES on a brand-new Muir development are preparing to become homes as work continues at the upcoming community.
Completion of the 20 new homes in Nelson, Lancashire, is hotly anticipated in 2021 as builders shrug off delays caused by COVID-19 to ensure the properties will still be ready to welcome new residents next year.
Muir Development Officer, Annette Westwater, was thrilled with the progress of the two and three-bedroom houses following her latest visit to the Barkerhouse Road site.
All of the ten 2-bed and ten 3-bed properties are being made available for affordable rent.
“It’s amazing to see these lovely new homes taking shape,” Annette said.
“They’ll provide fantastic affordable options for people seeking brand-new homes in the area.
“We’re so looking forward to seeing people moving in already, and the progress being made with the development is really pleasing.
“This development is one we are particularly excited about because Muir has a long-running commitment in the local area and we’re delighted for that to continue.
Muir obtained planning permission for the development in 2019 after it was granted with the support of Stanley Investments by a planning committee at Nelson Town Hall.
The scheme, designed by Eden Building Design, is being built by John Turner Construction Group Ltd.
The development forms part of Muir’s Building New Homes strategy which will see the Association increase the number of new affordable properties it provides each year.
