Macmillan response pleases Muir's fundraising residents

RESIDENTS have confirmed they raised more than £110 when they supported Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Muir residents at the Association’s Cornwall House supported housing scheme in Chester took part in the September 30th fundraiser, announcing that their efforts helped add £111.29 for the cancer support charity. Cornwall House

Georgina Millington, the scheme’s project manager, says she was delighted with how the residents had worked to support such a worthy cause.

“It was great to see them getting involved and raising money for Macmillan,” Georgina said.

“They really did put a lot of effort in to making their coffee morning a success and so I am very pleased and proud at how they have gone about raising such a fantastic amount.”

Staff supervised as the residents served tea and coffee while volunteer Marsha Hayes also helped out during the event.

“Everybody enjoyed a really nice event and it was wonderful to see visitors coming along to support it,” Georgina added.
