‘MAMMA MIA!’ RESIDENTS ABBA GREAT TIME THANKS TO MUIR’S BRIGHTER DAYS PROMISE!
JUST one look was all it took for residents get into the groove of some of ABBA’s most memorable songs when a singing and dancing queen visited one of Muir’s Independent Living locations.
Independent Living residents from locations in other areas joined those at Smithy Court, near Ellesmere Port, for plenty of ‘Knowing Me Knowing You’ during an afternoon of entertainment.
Muir’s ‘Brighter Days’ Project has been helping to secure ‘Money, Money, Money’ from various funding opportunities to help stage events like this at all of Muir’s Independent Living locations.
And residents have been loving the various shows as a result while continuing to give Muir Living a big thumbs-up and saying ‘Gimme, Gimme, Gimme’ more!
“Events like this unite everybody and really builds on the community spirit that we’re trying to get across,” Lorna Clare, Muir’s Independent Living Officer at Smithy Court said.
“They alleviate isolation and we see more people mixing.
“We open our doors for others in the community to join us and it’s great to see people making new friends.”
