MPS MAN SCRUBS UP WELL TO DELIVER VITAL PPE TO NHS STAFF FIGHTING COVID-19

VITAL PPE materials are being delivered by a Muir Property Solutions man to help keep doctors and nurses safe from COVID-19.
MPS operative, Ian Brunning, has been transporting rolls of material to seamstresses across the North West so they can be made into ‘scrubs’ for NHS staff and care home workers.
Ian is using an MPS van to transport the cloth to seamstresses, from a special ‘scrub hub’ at Hindley, Wigan.
He then picks up the newly made medical scrubs similar to those pictured (right), and delivers them to hospitals, care homes and prisons.
“I’ve been transporting cloth to many seamstresses in the region so scrubs can be made for medical staff,” said Ian, who helps prepare empty properties for new Muir residents.
“Some of the smaller items can be taken on motorbikes, but using the van means we can move big rolls of cloth to where they’re needed.
“I’ve been doing it for a few weeks now. A lot of cloth was donated from Pincroft Mill in Adlington and there’s a whole network of seamstresses involved.
“It’s a real community.”
Ian has been volunteering for nearly 40 years, with services including Meals on Wheels, Victim Support and Blood Bikers.
“I’ve always liked helping people, he said. “I’m a big people person.”
Meanwhile, Ian’s fellow MPS colleague, David Smith is also out and about in an MPS van in Warrington, delivering hampers of essential items (left) to residents in the Orford area with the Helping Hands Fairfields and Howley charity.
