MUIR HOUSE MOVE GIVES ‘OVER THE MOON’ FAMILY GREATER INDEPENDENCE FOR YOUNG GIRL

A FAMILY say they’ll find even more happiness in their new Muir home as it gives a young girl greater independence.
Becky Hanna and Eddie Oxley-Pascall say the newly built, four-bed Muir home in Chester will give 14-year-old Sophie a bedroom of her own as she manages her disability with her family’s support.
Muir have helped the couple find another home with the Association to enable Sophie to enjoy greater access, as along with Sophie’s sister Olivia (12) and one-year-old Sebastian, the family outgrew their previous property and are looking forward to new beginnings.
“Having a walk-in shower will give Sophie greater access in the new home and she can also have her own bedroom too,” Becky said.
“It’ll make a massive difference to us all.”
We caught up with the couple as they received the keys to their new home, having already enjoyed living with Muir for eight years.
Eddie said: “It’ll improve our lifestyles ten-fold as it will benefit all our family.
“We were becoming pretty overwhelmed in our last house and living on top of each other.
“To be given this fantastic opportunity by Muir to live in such a wonderful property – we’re just over the moon.”
The home is among the latest new-build properties to have been delivered by Muir as pert of its ‘Building New Homes’ strategy.
“We’re delighted to offer this home to Becky and Eddie knowing how much of a difference it will make to them and their family,” Ross Turner, Tenancy Services Officer at Muir said.
“We hope they’ll be very happy here and we’re thrilled they wanted to remain Muir residents, despite needing to move.
“We’re pleased we could find a home for them that will suit their needs.”
