Muir looks to bag litter-picking volunteers as it teams up for Blackpool event
VOLUNTEERS are being encouraged to take part in a community litter pick in Blackpool.
Blackpool Community Action Team is working with Muir Group Housing Association to host the Friday, March 10th event, and is hoping that as many people as possible can go along to lend a hand.
With everyone meeting at 10am outside the Chepstow Road Housing Office, volunteers will help to litter-pick and tidy up some key areas of Grange Park in Blackpool, particularly around the Chepstow Road shops, Boundary School and the Black Path area.
Muir Community Housing Assistant, Liz Christian, will be one of those helping out on the day and said: “Events like this are a fantastic way for people to keep their communities tidy.
“Muir is delighted to support this event and we are keen to roll our sleeves up and help give the area a bit of a spring clean.
“We look forward to welcoming as many volunteers as possible on the day and working together to showcase plenty of community spirit.”
